Another experiment in the line of the fading homepage
<<Google has added an element to their latest homepage test that instructs people what to do after they've entered a keyword. The sentence "Press enter to search," now appears under the box where you type in your keywords – where the old submit buttons used to be.>>

If the "Enter" key of my keyboard is broken, then I can't google anymore. Good idea Google, good idea... |
streamlined. i like it. but what about touchscreens? |
Touchscreens could be a problem indeed. The idea is like searchmash and I use enter a lot when searching.
TOMHTML When you enter key is broken, you just have to fix it :-) or you could use alt+013 on your numpad / laptop (if available), shortcut for Enter. |
I Like the old screen much more. |
Way back in Google's early days, if you searched by clicking on the button with the mouse, you would get a hint at the top of the results saying something like "Tip: you can press ENTER after your search term instead of clicking the button". |
Page2RSS noticed something else: "This space intentionally left blank."
