Acc. to liveblogs, yes. Apparently, the hands-on experience (for invited press after the event) was intoxinating due to incredibly fast and smooth scrolling. E. g. "The Maps app is crazy fast. Seems like it is but Apple carefully avoided saying that it's a Google product they just called it Maps. |
Yeah, Steve Jobs mentioned in the announcement that it has a Google backend. And it supports Street View. |
