Awesome!

What i'm hoping for:
   * Calling with Google Voice
   * Integration/compatibility with GTalk (Jabber/XMPP)
   * Conference voice/video calls
   * GNU+Linux support
   * Standards-based for compatibility with existing clients
   * VoIP on Android

(And MMS support in Google Voice!)

I'm excited. I've been waiting for a revision of a Google Talk client for years. VOIP!

Thing is, a client by itself is useless. Google Talk is awesome because it uses a federated open network. I hate Skype because it is a closed network and they may be open-sourcing the client, but nobody cares about the client! They're only liberating the client so that it's easier for them to support more platforms. If we can't connect using the clients we already use and love (Empathy, Pidgin, Adium, etc) i don't want it!
