I just releases a Chrome extensions based on Voice Actions for Android (http://www.google.com/mobile/voice-actions/). It allows you to "control" the browser just by speaking.
After you click on the microphone icon you can speak any of these commands to perform a Voice Action on your browser:
* go to [website] – opens the website on a new tab * map of [location] – opens a map of the location on a new tab * bookmark [website] – adds the given website to the Bookmark bar (if no website is given it bookmarks the current page) * new tab – opens a blank new tab * settings – opens the Chrome Settings tab * bookmarks – opens the Chrome Bookmarks Manager
Any other input will open a Google search with the word.
The extension is a quick prototype and is very rough in the edges, so, please, send me bugfixes and suggestions.
You can download it at: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lbgboffibaoifdaoiemibfpiffkkkafo
Of course, you'll need a microphone connected to the computer ;) |
