If you have the Google Suggest by default and somebody mistakes it for the past searches, it could be catastrophic. |
>>someone found a search for “maggie simpson naked”<<
That's sick.
Now, "*lisa* simpson naked" – that would be a different ball of wax. |
I don't get it.
In the Google Suggest FAQ is says:
Google Suggest does not base its suggestions on your personal search history.
If so, why would this be embarrassing? |
MyNameIS Earl
It's Auto Complete, not Google Suggest. |
On my stepfather's computer once, I found a search for "xxx prego trailer"
I was really kinda disturbed. |
And you realise that you also featured in the news letter with your sketch swap?! =) |
> Google Suggest does not base its suggestions > on your personal search history. > > If so, why would this be embarrassing
As the original author said, it could be embarassing precisely because the Google Suggest feature could be mistaken for the browser's auto-complete feature. Google Suggest has some nasty stuff in there. http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1
And Stuk, yep I was happy to find Sketch Swap in B3ta! |
On the google toolbar on my dads pc i once saw entrys such as "orgasm during sex" and the like (it was my log in)
I later got told my step mum had to use my log in cos her internet wasnt working for some reason and hope i didnt mind....
