Google Trends (www.google.com/trends) is about to replace Google's old trend search;
Google zeitgeist (www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html)

in fact, Google is taking its trend search one step higher, by using a graph of results. and not just results.

First Google tosses freedom of speech out the window in China. Then Google becomes "Guge" for those Party Members in China who can't figure out two full syllables (No offense intended for those who like "Guge").

Now an imaginative word of character, "zeitgeist", gets dumbed down to merely "trends".

Does this foreshadow "Google" soon being dumbed down to "Goo" for dumb westerners?

Froogle should become "Google Shopping" then... and Gmail Google Mail (in all countries).

Google "Zeitgeist" or "Google Zeitgeist" and the sponsor link returns Google
Trends.
If Trends really will replace Zeitgeist, then Zeitgeist should be show on the bottom of Trends.
