Take a look here at the results of "googlecheckout.com" . The only result is "googlecheckout.com Coming Soon!" and then a list of international domain extensions.

Go-Daddy does like to hold domains for google... Nice Catch |
Here's the info from Go-Daddy's web site
Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com) Domain Name: GOOGLECHECKOUT.COM Created on: 26-Jun-05 Expires on: 26-Jun-07 Last Updated on: 07-Jun-06
Administrative Contact: Burns, Jennifer 3105 Dolphin Dr Austin, Texas 78704 United States
Still haven’t found what the connection is between Jennifer Burns and Google, but I still believe there is one. One, Google has already set the precedence of suing those who infringing on their copy write (which is pretty clear since 'Google' is right in the name). Two, The day this was created on is way to close to the launch of 'GBuy' to be a coincident. |
one word: domain grabbing |
yea, the domain is registered through GoDaddy, which Google doesn't register through. I can't believe I didn't do a whois check on it. But how long do you think until Google sues for the domain? Apparently today is the day Gbuy rolls out. Will be exciting.
