Aravind Eye hospital was actually a hot bed at one time in 87. one of the first 386 based unix servers were installed there , with a direct dialup modem which feed data back to a reserach firm in the US. Secondly, they also had the first install base of the argon/kyptne laser eye suregey machines!!
During my Sonata software days, we used to lease that machine for Hardkey laser encyption methods..
Yeah, R&D at the Aravind Eye hospital was cutting even in those good old days!! :)- |
