Dear all,
I managed to setup google maps API's for Germany, France, Spain, USA easily.
Does anybody know when maps for Switzerland will go online at least as a beta version? It is not possible to search for addresses in Switzerland yet. F.e Hauptstrasse 129, CH-8272 Ermatingen or Hauptstrasse 129, 8272 Ermatingen, Switzerland.
I also have problems to search for addresses in Ireland, since they dont have a postal code. Any Idea how to map Ireland?
I also wonder when does maps Germany beta turns itself to be full version.
What does BETA means in this content of mapping? Does it mean, that not all addresses/streets are mapped yet?

Sidenote: map.search.ch is older than Google Maps and used "AJAX" before it was named like that. |
Thank you Corsin. map.search.ch is great and very popular in Switzerland. The APIs comes from http://www2.endoxon.com/ and each search transaction costs some cents (depending on transaktion volume of searc querys) and setup fee is 5000 €.

+ each other zoom transaction costs "a 0,0x cent" ....ehhh by endoxxon and you need to pay at least 4000 € per YEAR for 200 000 search transaktions. (Even if you dont make 200 000 transaktion)
OK...this is a google blog. I am serousely searching for someone, who knows, when Switzerland will be mapped by GOOGLE . And how to map Ireland with GOOGLE :-) |

As long as Endoxon does not update their imagery, Google want have an update.
Drop me a note and I might ask somebody from local.ch/search.ch/endoxon/Google Switzerland, but don't be to hopeful... |

I believe the best way is to get Postal Code from http://www.geonames.org/export/#ws to the Address Database and then, map only a that area.
This sounds great:

I believe, now, I can not get any closer to Street name.... |
