Since this morning, Google Calendar (renamed Google Agenda) is avaible in french, german and 16 other langages. The SMS notifications works very well with french carriers. |
It's interesting to see that Google are localizing their service names:
English: http://www.google.com/calendar/images/calendar_sm2_en.gif
Spanish: http://www.google.com/calendar/images/calendar_sm2_es.gif
German: http://www.google.com/calendar/images/calendar_sm2_de.gif
French: http://www.google.com/calendar/images/calendar_sm2_fr.gif
Italian: http://www.google.com/calendar/images/calendar_sm2_it.gif
(Notice how the Italian and Spanish logos is different to the English one even thought it says the same? Weird!) |
The "quick add" option for events is gone in the German version. Looks like they didn't translate the part of parsing free style event descriptions. |
Next Google product translated will be imo Google Pages as it would make sense to translate all the apps of the Google for Your Domain package. |
And SMS works also in the Netherlands, this is great! |
"Google Agenda" in French, lol ^^ There is a word for "Calendar" wich is "Calendrier"... :-) |
