On RS today
http://www.resourceshelf.com/2006/10/04/clusty-celebrates-its-second-birthday-with-intro-of-dynamic-tag-clusty-cloud-creator/

we ran a post about the 2nd anniversary of Clusty, the metasearch/dynamic clustering search tool from Vivisimo. To celebrate, Clusty launched their lab with a new, cool, interesting and useful service (fun too!) called Clusty Clouds. It creates dynamic tag clouds using the clusters that Clusty returns during a regular search.

Here's a screen cap of some Clusty Clouds for this blog's title, P.L., and his Games for the Brain Site. Btw, live "clouds" are all hyperlinked to run a search on the word or term.

From the site,
"Clusty Clouds are generated using our search results for the topic you enter. Since the tags you see come from Clusty, you can click on any of them to go to Clusty’s search results. Using Clusty to generate the cloud also ensures that it is always up-to-date because the clusters are generated in real-time."

This is not only fun but also an interesting way to use what some might call Web 2.0 technology (tag clouds) work with Clusty's dynamic clustering tehch to form information discovery tools. In other words, quickly identify ideas and concepts you might not know about.

Btw, the Clusty site itself got a new color scheme and look today. Nice job.

Gary, why do your links never work for me?
