Just received a Google Press email.
"MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., November 2, 2006 – Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) today announced the release of an innovative new mobile client, Gmail for mobile devices. This freely downloadable Java application delivers Gmail users the look and feel of Gmail through a fast, feature-rich interface that's optimized for handheld devices. With the release of this client, Google is taking one more step toward its goal of providing users with quick and easy access to the information they need, when they need it."

Beat me by 30 seconds! I'm trying to download it from the UK. We'll see how it goes :) |
Works in the UK!
It looks pretty slick, very fast and good / clean interface. It's instantly recognisable as GMail.
It's got proper support for conversation views and stars, labels, reporting spam, and full search capability. Very slick. Big improvement over the older style mobile GMail. |
Thanks Kirby, my post is up here, we wrote this in synchronicity (tho you were definitely first to post :)): http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2006-11-02-n12.html |
