Very cool, but I don't see it as a competitor to Picasa or other programs like it. They do two different things, and are more complimentary than competitors.
I wonder when we will an actual product based on Photosynth released?

I think you will when it's released (which is supposed to be this year).
But I thiknk for most photobrowsing applications Picasa or similar competitors will be appropriate. But when you want you'll be able to click "View in context" to see the world around it and see how two of your pictures are linked |
