woot woot ?? Invention of the year ??

Thats not truely an invention, rather in high traction/stickiness amongst users .. I dunna, does YTube have a hight number of patent dependant technologies embedded inside ??

Flickr is a visual pleasure, while YouTube is just funny. Flickr is not as mainstream as YouTube.

Although YouTube is great, but naming it "Invention of the Year" just don't feel right to me.

youTube is cool and definitely allowed people to host videos, but whether it is innovation of the year... no idea about how much importance to give to the nomination... you have to keep in mind Time named Hitler "man of the year" in 1939.

Interesting. But the accompanying article to that 1939 issue was very, very negative, so it's in now way honoring Hitler:
