Question: Do you need to agree to Google's TOS? If yes, what happens if you don't. If not, is it ethical? |
I have seen a similar set up on a relative of mine's computer. As far as I know you have to agree to the ToS when you start using Google Desktop. I am not sure about Toolbar, and I don't think a homepage needs one. |
Yes. you have to agree to ToS for the toolbar and google desktop if i recall correctly. I should have made a screenshot of the next screen. There was no way to exit this screen without going to then next screen and either excepting or declining the ToS. |
I bought a shiny new Sony Vaio a couple of weeks ago here in the UK. There was no Google branded start up screen, but it came pre-loaded with Picasa, Google Desktop, Google Toolbar, and Google Earth.
Not that I'm complaining mind you. |
I was setting up a friends Dell desktop a few weeks ago, and it bundles with Google Desktop. |
Dell partnership?, Apple partnership (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2006/aug/29bod.html)?
The future of google is?: A) suitable for mac users, even if google has no picasa, gtalk etc.... B) suitable for pc users. C) both. D) none of them, get a gentoo.
;-p

"A) suitable for mac users, even if google has no picasa, gtalk etc.... " Google probably wont bother with Picasa because of iPhoto and Gtalk because of iTalk |
It will. Google Mac team has to do something. |
yus, it has to do it, or i wont buy a 30-inches iMac |
I do not trust Google. I hope they go out of business. |
Kylie.
Wow, What an informative message.
Care to explain why ? |
Hey,
I just bought a gateway. What came with gateway? Google Desktop with toolbar and a whole bunch of other crappy software.
Its not just dell that did the deal. |
Interesting how Dell's Google page has a tab that takes you to.....Yahoo Music. |
PS I'd like to see Google's personalized page look more like Dells- the royal blue and brushed silver looks much better IMO. |
