Why can't we have Captchas that urge you to click on the "hottest woman/ man shown"? You wouldn't always get it right but that's the same problem with all the other captchas. The only difference would be that this would be some fun at least! :)

Philipp, the problem with "click-on-the-hottie" captchas is that it only allows for, say, ten choices. A five-character alphabetic captcha allows for 26^5 choices (11881376).

You would need five rows, with 26 hotties in each row, to equal a five-character captcha.

why not just use pictures of oppoisite ?? like click on the dog /cat ? man/women – Sun /moon ..type of pics ??

single click and no amount of image recognation will be able to cheat such a system and its easy for a user too.. just a single click which requires hardly any IQ functionlity!!

Yeah... I was only half serious, though one could include a large picture with lots of hotties, say 70 faces on a 500x400 pixel image, for not-so-strong captchas :)

Speaking of captchas, I recently found this cool article on ways to prevent comment spam without causing your users to have to use a captcha. I tried a couple of the things mentioned and found it to be surprisingly effective:
