They use them in the website URLs because they think numbers make people to remember their website easier.

Numbers, in Chinese speaking world have special meanings, for example, 520, from what it's pronounced in Chinese, is well known as "I love you" in Mainland China (and probably Taiwan). There are many other examples like this, I think that's why websites in China prefer to use numbers in the URL.
