I am going to go through all of the months in Blogoscoped's history and see if it obtained its goal of "80% Google". In addition I will add up each year and by the end will update it at each months end. This is just fun and Philipp dosen't have to start putting more Google in or anything, its just as a matter of intrest.Anyway, here is the first month. More to follow.
May 2003 Statistics
Total Blog Entries: 83 Total Blog Entries directly about Google or in some way related to Google and/or one or more of its services: 63 Google Blogoscoped percentage Google for its first month: 76% Blog failed mission by: 4% |
Philipp, maybe you shuld change the 80% to 70%. just kidding ;) |
Heh. OK, let me join the fun. I'll query the posts database for those posts which contain the words google, froogle, gmail or sergey (since 2005, before that I used Blogger).
All posts: 4,577 Posts containing Google-related stuff: 3,356
All-time amount of Google-related stuff: 73% |
Than something like "Contains 75% Google" would be more fair ;) |
Philipp, Adding all references to youtube since the acquisition may help you.... for example: http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2007-03-20.html#n52 would not meet your first query, but is still clearly about google |
Ok so should I continue or what? |

Interesting, we're now at 74% :) |
In May 2003 I do not think that it was claiming 80% google? That is a more recent claim.
What measurement are you using: articles, words, bytes? Do images count? Does the forum count? Do advertisements count? |
I just counted blog-post-contains-word, not words-per-article/ forum... |
