"A coalition led by the Web search giant is scoring early wins in a tussle over $10 billion in wireless airwaves"
this is a good strategy for Google. If they can leverage wireless well, then they bypass carriers and ISPs. Will this have an impact on Net neutrality ? That is, if I were on a G-WIFI, would I be able to access my yahoo or MSN account ??

hahahah it could be GiWi or GiFi :D |
Article makes it sound like Google is interested in the auction because of net neutrality. I just don't think that's the whole picture though. Google has already blanketed wifi throughout Mountain View, California and they are in the process of setting up San Francisco next. So is Google more interested in Net connections for computers or are they eyeing a piece of the Wireless phone industry too? There are already rumors of a Google Phone. Why not have a Google Network that the phone connects to. :)
