to inode (my isp): please provide this!!!!! ;) |
But why would I choose to have my email/apps at me isp.tld instead of me gmail.com or me mydomain.tld? Why would I care about my ISP? |
many isps provide a domain to there internet-customers. |
stefan2904's right but when I read this...
...specifically designed for ISPs, portals, and *other service providers*...
...I immediately thought of domain registrars – which many ISPs are now anyway. |
Be lazy! Google will work for you! |
yeah, but oddly enough so many people have ISP emails, back from the days where they got free emails with buying internet.... all those accounts are pretty lame and people don't wanna change their email addresses (and don't bother either)
so it does make sense.... not for new customers though |
Interesting..... I "contacted" them.... I hope to get more info soon |
That is good news. Google's blogger with you domains blocked in china. Cause some hosting company worried lost customer, and force ISP to ban Google. ISP can get profit from hosting company.
So now, Google and ISP can have common profits.
That is good. Google's service perfect. |
<< Why does Google force me to maintain two separate accounts when I only need one? >>
I think they'll always be kept separate. Google Apps is primarily targeted towards multiple users, not just an individual's personal site. |
Yep Tony,
i too wanted Google to integrate my google account with with GAFYD account.. like kinda MY GAFYD and my default @gmail.com should have same base and inbox...... no filtering forwarding or syncing via pop.. |
The ISP is one more point of failure. Do stuff on your own machine, or do it on Google's machine, but don't introduce some kind of added dependency on your ISP. |
