Not shore when summer "Officially" starts here (England) but I count it as June, July and August. Hope the presentation thing comes out soon though!

Wikipedia says :
<< Summer is a season of the year that is defined as beginning in June, and ending in September >>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer

I estimate Google will release it 'till the end of June...
(Could be on my birthday!! ><)

:P

Any bets on whether they'll change the name of Google docs & spreadsheets?

Inferno [PersonRank 10]

Not sure because they want clarity in their product's names, right? They renamed Froogle to Product Search.
So, Google Docs, Spreadsheets & Presentations has the most clarity in it but again when the name would look weird. If they stick to the long name then they would to find it to be worse when they will have to make it Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, PDFs, Vector Graphics, Databases etc... ;)

Yeah, Inferno is right..

I think they'll rename it to Google Office...

James Xuan [PersonRank 10]

I reckon just Google Docs.

DPic [PersonRank 10]

do you think maybe jotspot wiki will become part of this docs, spreadsheets, and presentations package?

Inferno [PersonRank 10]

If that happens then I think they will change the whole thing to Google Files idea(In other words GDrive), where The Documents editor , Spreadsheet editor and Presentation editor will just be the editors and viewers for the files but all the files will be housed at GDrive.

"Not shore when summer "Officially" starts here (England) but I count it as June, July and August. Hope the presentation thing comes out soon though!"

If i remember correctly:

Spring: March 21st – June 20th
Summer: June 21st – August 20th
Autumn: August 21st – December 20th
Winter: December 21st – March 20th

Summer in England is approximately August 22nd to August 25th, although it usually varies a little from year to year.

Like Martin, I count summer as June, July and August. The pedants like to make a fuss about starting Summer on June 21st, but I ask them: how can they start summer on the day they have named "midsummers day"?

Martin Porcheron [PersonRank 10]

hehe, exactly.

In reality though the English summer can come and go at any time of the year for as little as 2 days to a couple of warm months. Sadly it's usually the former.

Mrrix32 [PersonRank 10]

So summer's only 4 days long then? :-D
Google hasn't chosen a very long time slot!

Did you mean: June 22nd to August 25th?

Officially in ireland it goes like this.

Summer: 1st May-31st Jul
Autumn(Fall): 1st Aug-31st Oct
Winter: 1st Dec-31st Jan

Perhaps Google Presentations will go live on the Google Press Day 2008 in Paris, June 19th? The last press day was pretty spectacular when it comes to releases...
