A few old posts just crept into my Google Reader for the Official Google Blog. On inspection, it seems they're adding labels to all their old posts.
e.g.
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2005/09/googlebombing-failure.html http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:googleblog.blogspot.com/2005/09/googlebombing-failure.html
They really should offer an option in Blogger which allows authors to decide whether their post should be pushed back to the top of the feed or not.
(Or at least let authors choose how they want to order their feed items without using the "orderby" parameter, which obviously doesn't work with static feeds published using FTP.) |
Dang, there goes the "Google's Blogs" page here... |

Tonight I'm seeing official Google blog posts in iGoogle that are from 2005 and I've also gotten a couple of weird Firefox popup errors when using Google's official blog on the iGoogle page.
These are the most recent posts I'm seeing in iGoogle: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1025/531251575_755fef861e.jpg?v=0
And this is the longest error message I've ever seen in a Firefox popup window: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1023/531251571_b02910b02e_b.jpg
Is anyone else seeing problems? I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.4 on Mac OS X. |

Yeah, Google are labelling their old blog posts and the new Blogger add a post to the top of your feed if you update it. |
