Marissa Mayer (Video)

ABC News is interviewing Google’s Marissa Mayer. (Nick Douglas has some amusing notes.) The video shows an interesting spin making it look like Google invented satellite imagery software (instead of buying Keyhole, which is what they did).

Zawodny on Google’s Double Standards

Via InsideGoogle, Yahoo’s Jeremy Zawodny analyzes the double standards of Google complaining about a prospective IE7 MSN default search. In recent news, according to the NYT, Marissa Mayer said, “We don’t think it’s right for Microsoft to just set the default to MSN,” even though we never heard her complain about Firefox having Google as default! ValleyWag’s Nick Douglas also summed it up nicely:

By accusing Microsoft of playing dirty by making MSN the default search tool for Internet Explorer, Google’s Marissa Mayer takes a stand against default search engines in browsers. Oh, don’t worry, Google’s still the Firefox default. Let’s clarify: Google’s Marissa Mayer takes a stand against default search engines other than Google in browsers.
