Just one day after its launch, Google’s “Account Authentication Proxy for Web Applications” has been pulled*. Google’s site now reads “expected release in late April,” whatever that means. (The other part of the program, “Account Authentication for Installed Applications,” still remains.)
So, was there a security issue here? That’s the one thing you don’t want when someone’s API-accessing your Google Account data, like your Gmails...
*This was the URL, and it now says “Not Found.” Did anyone cache it?
