New Google Talk Features: File Transfer and More

Google Talk has been updated with a bunch of new features:

• File transfer: Send unlimited files & folders to your chat friends.
• Voicemail: Leave voice messages when your friend’s not around. They’ll get your message sent as email attachment.
• Music status: You can let your friends know about the music you’re currently listening to.

When Google Talk launched, it was a “naked” chat client lacking any interesting features. Over time, as we can see, Google adds more and more features. Let’s hope the thing won’t get cluttered... there’s already enough cluttered, feature-rich instant messengers to choose from.

Update: You need to download the testing EXE to see the new features, DPNeal says.
