Google Talk’s New Help Forum
By Tony Ruscoe

In a post yesterday, the Google Talkabout blog announced they’ve launched a new help forum for Google Talk (and closed the old Google Talk Group to new posts in the process).

It’s interesting to see that Google could be moving away from using Google Groups for their own product support forums. Some of you might remember the Pomoc Google service launched in June by Google Poland, which offers support for a number of Google services and seems to have had a complete redesign since it was announced:

The Polish Forum Pomocy Google site, showing how the design has changed from being the same as the Russian “Otvety” site.

This new Google Talk help forum uses exactly the same Google Help service, so it wouldn’t surprise me if we see more Google services being added to this English version, or if the same technology was used to create a new version of the old Google Answers service...

[Thanks Luka!]
