Multicolr: Search Flickr By Color

The creators of the superb reverse image search engine Tineye have released a new useful tool: Multicolr, a search-by-color engine for Creative Commons licensed Flickr photos. The site says the image pool is 10 million images large. [Update: This isn’t new, despite the new blog post from the Tineye creators. Thanks David!]

Note that when you click multiple colors, you will search for that particular color combo – you can remove older colors by clicking their trash icon. You can also click the same color multiple times to increase its importance in the mix.

One thing Tineye doesn’t do yet is allowing you to draw a simple sketch, and then find similarly shaped images... that would be on my wishlist, as it could be really useful.
