Is it just me, or the +Talk logo is missing on Gmail.

I'm talking about this logo:

I'm getting the original logo:

Anyone else can see this?
I know that Europe residents is a different story.

(By the way, my Gmail chat is enabled)

I've been seeing this "new" (or old) logo for at least 10 days.

I haven't seen the Talk logo version in a long time.

That's not the original logo, that's a new one made to look like the original. The original logo had a matt effect on the letters:

The current one with glossy finish is pulled from

Even I noticed this without talk logo 10-12 day back

Maybe they are baking a new logo for Gtalk's second birthday(Aug 24)?

Cool changes at Google. First Docs renaming and now this

I think Google is ready for more integration between their products. Maybe Gmail + Talk + Calendar

Gmail is the star web application from Google and it makes sense that innovation come from there

Perhaps Google thought "Gmail+talk" was giving too much emphasis to one feature of Gmail, that wasn't very new anymore, either? (Now that other webmail interfaces have caught up by also including chat features.)

[put at-character here]Martin: They had to change it to the glossy one, becaus it was more 2.0 ;)

[put at-character here]Ken Wong: It's not their second birthday, is their third one. And this has made me notice something I'll post in a separate thread at the forum (about the "birth of")

Update: Reading mistake. Wikipedia says it started on April, and I had my invitation dated 10/3 (10th of March), but then I noticed it's 3rd of October.
Anyway. It's their third year. A kid, at that age, is learning to run, jump, break, destroy and make everyone angry (don't be evil).

Yeah, and I guess it's no longer deserving of special recognition when a 3 year-old can "talk".

The +talk logo is still shown on Gmail's help center:

I would never have noticed this change in the logo, because I get the awesome "Google Mail" logo. Flippin lawsuits.

I use http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/10690 to get rid of the Google Mail logo.
