Actually, the first mockup isn't SO bad. It's actually simpler than the REAL Yahoo page. It is a wrong – if someone is already logged in, why is there a 'My Google'? And video is listed twice. The sidebar of Google services should be prioritised – the ones you actually USE should be near the top and... oh, heck. Methinks I'll just need to fire up Gimp and do something myself (but I'm lazy ;-).

The second mockup is awful. just really bad.
