A new line has been added to Google's robots.txt file:
Disallow: /gcc/
Would lead to -> http://www.google.com/gcc/ Does anyone know what this is?
either grandcentral communications or great cashmere caterpillars :P |
Yeah, damned C++ compiler |
Why the heck would they have an online version of gcc ? A free compiling farm for open-source projects ?
Google Closed Circuit ? Google's China Censorship ? Google Contacts Center
(...)
I Just wish it would be open-source related though!
|
maybe google compiler collection. ;-) |
TOMHTML >> Pourquoi "Damned" ? |
Google Coding Competition/ Google Code Contest :) |
And in true Google style, the googleadservices.com domain shares the robots.txt file with google.com:
http://optout.googleadservices.com/robots.txt
So I think that's probably it. |
Stupid question, what does GCC mean then if it's that one, Google Cross-site Cookies? |
Google Cookies Control?
> "TOMHTML >> Pourquoi "Damned" ?" Because each time you run it, you cross your fingers and fear about compilation errors. :-/ |
Then, you should blame the code that's being compiled ;-)
|
Google Cat Crusher (Hopefully...) |
GNU Compiler Collection? Google Candy Controller? GrandCentral Collaboration? Good Cookie Control?
This is actually fun...
|
Tony Ruscoe: that's because they're all the same server, imho. The mail servers are also search servers, are also groups servers etc.... Right? |
m1t0s1s, of course Google shares domains and servers across many of its services but I doubt their mail servers are the same ones which host the Google.com home page or index billions of websites. |
i iterperted it as gnu c compiler, i.e. gnu compiler collection
