Do they have to work on Halloween day? I suppose it could be part of their 20% time ... ;)
By the way, how does 'spam' relates to Halloween .. Oo .. Spam is just as scary as ghosts and witches! :P |

What is that "Trax" (sp?) program shown on one of the screens?

>> What is that "Trax" ... <<
If I remember correctly, that's where they write codes or something like that, something to do with programming... |
Oh, nevermind, I was thinking about "Google Mondrian"... http://farm1.static.flickr.com/106/310822440_11497c31b1.jpg [photo by Niall Kennedy http://flickr.com/photo.gne?id=310822440 , cc-license] |
Phillip: As far as I can read/see, he's using MS Excel (not google spreadsheets! :O), Mozilla Firefox, with the google toolbar (and a logged in user); google talk (it looks slightly different from the one I have, I don't know why); and that trax thing in front of all... I don't know what's that! But my guess is that is the system they use to handle cases/tickets. Like when you contact support, or something like that. It has a format similar to GMail's, with some adds. I can read the "check spelling" link at the top-right of the message area; From, To, Cc, Subject, and something else I guess it's attachments, but it seems to have two buttons (add/remove?). At the bottom, Send, Save, Discard and a button I don't know what it is. In the left side there is something long; and I can see a number (can't read it completly). If you look over the monitor, there's a "play with origami" sign. Ok, it has nothing to do with the screen or the topic, but... it's there.

That's what I thought it was. Trax sounds like a "cooler" name for Trakken to me, which is what their support systems are built on.
Also, on his left monitor is the Google.com Google Apps version of Gmail which I think has a few more features based on what I saw in Paris while looking over someone's shoulder. |
I attended Googleween as a makeshift map marker... you can play 'spot the marker' in some of the pics taken of people on stage, e.g.: http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelphale/1811669967/
Oh, and on a related note – celebrate Halloween GMaps style: http://googlemapsapi.blogspot.com/2007/10/map-of-dead-screen-overlayed-shoot-em_31.html

Sorry Philipp but the German word for plunger is Pümpel or in some areas Pömbel ;) http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saugglocke |
Not true Mischa, there's a whole entry for "Pömpel" :) http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%B6mpel |

"Knoweldge Is Power" – I just saw this on top of Wikipedia, and I thought it makes perfect sense as Wikipedia motto, for many reasons. |
