It is not simply Girl's day. It is Girl's Future Day.

Itman the official name in Germany is "Girls'Day". (Though not "Girl's Day" as I wrote in the post.) But "Zukunft" in "Mädchen-Zukunftstag" does indeed translate to "future".

I loved the logo... I did not think it had something to do with Girls day but I just identified with it whole day (I am a scientist). then my daughter saw it said wow cool for girls day.
it is not officiall girls day any more but as a woman scientist i love to see it there.
can i have it back.
can i customize my google logo and get it back.

Cwinslow, check out this iGoogle gadget which lets you customize the Google logo:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?q=google+logo&root=%2Fig&amp%3Bdpos=top&url=www.google.com/ig/modules/googlelogo.xml

There may also be Greasemonkey scripts which change the google.com logo, not just the iGoogle one...
