* browse popular user-created maps
* no more examples of queries
* terrain view is default (I'm not sure about that)

When did it come out of Beta? I still see the standard 'map' road view and the Beta tag is still there.

[put at-character here]Ionut, did this show up when you were logged in and visiting Google Maps?

I currently see a saved default location each and every time I visit Google Maps because I always visit it when I'm logged in with a Google Account.

I logged in with an account I rarely use, but it seems that "terrain view" is not the default.

Often showing gray for me, as usual. Can't see the city I live in.

I have normal map view as default.

I've always opened Maps with the Google Toolbar Maps button (an old one) which links to: http://maps.google.com/?hl=EN
That page still shows the Beta label in the Maps graphic title. And it doesn't have the 'Browse popular maps' links either.

I like it, I noticed it recently. It seems less cluttered.
