I always log out of my iGoogle page at the end of the day. When I went to load my iGoogle page yesterday, I saw a new default iGoogle layout than what normally displays. I'm assuming the new default page I saw was for a certain test campaign but I thought I would post it here anyways. The mini iGoogle screenshot actually rotated through several different themes. I thought it was the best page explaining what iGoogle could do for a newbie user visiting the site.

I've saw this once last week, but haven't been able to reproduce it. |
Another Default page showed up today, it has Location by country and a zip code input box. It seems to set the Movie times gadget and weather gadget settings up for the user. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3190/2586445389_f5268e5258_o.png |
I really don't understand why they don't prefill the country and the city/zip code. Even Netvibes can do that. |
They seem to only tweak the default page in minor increments. I sort of think what Ionut is saying makes more sense. Less things a user would have to mess with. |
