Saw a thread titled

"Whoa. Google is closing their Denver and Dallas offices."
http://friendfeed.com/e/f847f2f2-a677-4594-a7ee-2086181e9948/Whoa-Google-is-closing-their-Denver-and-Dallas/

... at Friendfeed. Does anyone know more?

The original poster in the comments adds "Employees have to choose relocation or severance" and as for the reason, says "Consolidation. Someone decided the ROI wasn't there. Bummer."

No jobs in Denver but Thorton and Boulder. There is a listing in Dallas

Distressing to see Google resorting to ambiguous language. Does their statement mean that they are closing BOTH offices in each location or only one of them?

Lets not forget Google is a business subject to recession like all.

Sketchup is (nearby) in the Republic of Boulder ... ;-)

[put at-character here] Barnaby:

Only one of the 2 in the Denver market is being closed (they've got another in Boulder, just 20 miles away from the one being closed).

And the Denver closure is a Sales office, not a tech office (servers, engineers, coders, et. al.)

Google *just* moved into brand new offices in uptown Dallas. I didn't know they had multiple offices here.
