Are the cities in Google Earth?

I have not check G-Earth, but that by itself is another Sever /program. However maps is a Service on Google properties. Dpic, even if you zoom in you dont see cities, roads etc. (at least not for me!)

No roads on the map, but if you enter "Tbilisi" or "Poti", Google Maps knows where it is located.

I remember the same type of thing happens when searching in Israel...there's no roads or anything, but it will locate cities you search for.

Georgia shoud have been in the list of Google Map Maker countries. Bad point Google ;-)

-BTW, I can't draw roads with GG Maps Maker. I get the error "Failed to create feature

We got an official response. The data was never in Google Maps but some of it is in Google Earth. They haven't found a data partner that has comprehensive data for that region of the world. That is why they don't have any detailed info for that region in Google Maps.

Google also said they would now be releasing data for Georgia and other countries where they only have basic data.
