Google has created a new blog (Content Central) on the subject of 'Content' and how you can submit your content to Google.
http://contentcentral.blogspot.com/
The first post announced a new 'Submit your content' page with lots of useful links and information for getting your content indexed, on maps, in YouTube, in product search and loads more. All this has been available before but now its all in one place.

I'm quite surprised Google started a blog about this! I'm not too sure what else the blog will cover but I assume they have a plan. |
I sent it yesteday at Philipp, it's already registred in his bloglist ;-) (150th active official blog!) |
Ah, I didn't think to look there :) 150 blogs on the list – not 150 official Google blogs? |
In Google Reader, I've subscribed to 150 *OFFICIAL* (active = no 404, no redirection) Google blogs. Philipp does not list non-English blogs. |
I just know there are lots and lots of official Google blogs and they are creating new ones pretty much every week. There are a lot of YouTube blogs as well. |
TomHTML, Google has a bad habit of creating new ones but not killing off the old ones. For example, the Google Maps API blog was stopped and they formed a new blog, Google Geo Developers Blog. So your ACTIVE term fits with the old Google Maps API blog but technically the blog isn't active any more as in new content getting posted. |
You're right Colin, but basically they can still publish posts there. If I do not count them, the counter drops to 145 or 140... No less. One example, Blogger Buzz DE (http://buzz-de.blogspot.com/) has not been updated since December 2006, but it's still active.
Haochi : you're right, there are a dozen of Youtube blogs. |
