blah, you can't see yourself in the mirror (check at 0:42)... |
hmmm, but if I put my legs in front of me in real life I can see them, it hasn't caused me to vomit yet :P
Looks like a good game, shame it dosn't come out on PC til next year (I don't have a XBox/PS) |
They've been playing the commercial for this game every day here in the US. Looks like a pretty cool game. Too bad I don't own either of those consoles. |
It's a lovely demo, but I'm not sure about the longevity of the full thing. If it keeps everything nice and fast paced, it might be fun, in the same way that Half Life 2 was a "Go-go-go-go-go!!" type adventure..
Why's this here? You've never done a plain old video game post before have you? Not that I'm complaining, mind.. If you're gonna pick a game, this one's good enough! |
Love the game. It is innovative, I do not understand how you can get a motion sickness from it, it's just another FPS-view, but this is not a FPS, although some shooting is still present. |

Jayenkai, no specific reason, except that I thought this game looked really lovely. It also made me ponder buying a PS3 (I had a PS2, but figured I skip version 3 and maybe check back when PS4 is released!). Not sure how many video game specific posts there were before (I'd suspect there were a couple) but here are two videos I made showcasing the Amiga 500 times which I posted on before (on that note, let me try uploading those to YouTube!): http://blogoscoped.com/videos/amiga.wmv http://blogoscoped.com/videos/amiga2.wmv
Here are some PSP videos: http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2006-05-06-n74.html |
Fair enough!! :D
If you're still not settled on the PS3, the Xbox Arcade is dirt cheap right now.. Might be something to consider..
And, Go Amiga!!! |

Watching the video on YouTube, and playing it on a HD screen of any appreciable size will be two completely different experiences. I've experienced the sensation of my stomach fluttering when jumping off cliffs or towers in World of Warcraft, and that's just me sitting in front of a 20" monitor. I imagine there's also a difference to the brain in how it handles passive observation and actual navigation/movement control regardless if there's actual ambulatory movement. |
Is it just me or does the music towards the end sound like that Westlife song? Against The World?
As far as I can tell, there's only one note's difference. |
The demo really does give the vertigo effect, great gameplay though I can see the novelty wearing off. |
If anything this will let me seriously consider buying a PS3 or Xbox 360. But what to choose... ... |
