Woah, am I feeling a little tension in here? :D
The release is sweet though, this has often been a complaint for me when I have, as I often do, a large number of tabs open. |
Should be default settings for everyone. |
This is great! I requested this feature when I first started using Gmail. Glad to see they finally implemented it.
I still kinda like how Yahoo Mail says the number first encase you have too many tabs open...
"(3 unread) Yahoo! Mail, email_username_here"
But this is a great improvement for Gmail in my opinion – It's simple but it's helpful. |
I wish they would always put the new lab features at the top.
Maybe they need a lab feature to re-order the lab features. |
This has been achievable with Greasemonkey script, and I'm surprised they provided absolutely no configuration options. Personally, I like to squelch my email address from the title altogether, and I'd love for that to happen automatically.
Hopefully the "Title Tweaks" will become more than just technically pluralized, offering a sort of tokenization where I can provide a configuration string like "(<Unread Count>) – <Location> – <Service>". |
This is even better for mail in Google Apps account, where the company name is a lot longer than just "Gmail", and the counter would never show up.. This also makes the counter readable on the Windows task bar.. I really like this.. |

I agree. I just wish this was enabled by default, so I wouldn't have to login to each Google Apps user account and turn this on for them.... |
Awesome... thanks for the heads up... this has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time! ;) |
