"(Also, I hope both Firefox and Internet Explorer will adjust so that you can actually copy the feed URL from somewhere in the browser status or tool bar.)"

You can do this with the Livelines extension for Firefox. There are separate checkboxes so you can use the icon in the status bar or address bar to send the feed URL to Live Bookmarks, an online reader like Bloglines or Google Reader, an RSS extension like Sage, an external program with the feed:// protocol, or the OS's clipboard. Any number of these options can be selected, so it can go in as many places as you'd like, and copying the URL is already available.

Brad, is there a new version for ffx 1.5? (all i could find was https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&version=1.0%20&os=all&category=Blogging&numpg=10&id=324 and its only through deer park). It sounds very helpful.

IE7 will have the new icon in it's standard toolbar. You can click it to see feeds on the page, and click a feed name will either bookmark the feed (not a live bookmark but a link to a page with the info in the feed) or display a separate page in the browser showing details about the feed, the feed, and other tidbits of info. I would post a screenshot, but I'm sure you'll find one on Google.

All I want to see is the addition of the word 'Subscribe' after the icon, feed, rss, xml, et al are all far to ambiguous. Yes people will learn come on, we dont use XHTML browsers do we ;)

John Evans, unfortunately clicking on the feed button alone will not subscribe you to anything. So saying Subscribe after it is a bit of misdirection. I wish there was a simple solution to this that newbes could instantly understand, but the way it has evolved makes that almost impossible.
