Ha, it's working nice en smooth so far and quicker than Twitterfeed. Just published an item and Feedburner posted the message pretty quick, the URL was http://goo.gl/fb/GBME |
WebSonic.nl | 14 years ago # |
Wow, my next item I published was posted within 2 to 3 minutes. |

It seems that Google post on Twitter every time a item updates. So now I have four tweets for one article :-). |

So Google's method of getting people to use their browser is to launch new features in other browsers first? |
Above 8 comments were made in the forum before this was blogged,

LOL. Last week I asked why Google hasn't an URL shortener and this week they got one. The read my blog ;-)
For those of you who want to use shortened URLs with Google without using the official service, try this: http://l.gog.is/hkcMjRm |

Lets hope Google introduces this service – with as added feature password protected URLs – for Google Docs. There are many users that would love that for forms, shared documents without the need to sign in and published documents. |

There's an unofficial Chrome extension for that. http://goo.gl/PiyX |

Related to the extension for Chrome.
"Create Google Short URLs without the Toolbar."
<<Or, if you are using a browser other than Chrome, you can use this online service to shring URL of any web page through goo.gl>>

[Moved from "Goo.gl API goes public (sort of)" – Tony]
Not sure if this has been discussed here but some people actually found a way to make goo.gl URL from anywhere. just check out:
http://jsbin.com/idalu3 or http://gaigalas.net/lab/googl
pretty cool
also a great Chrome extension http://goo.gl/N97T |

You can do that as well on Firefox http://goo.gl/kzHt |
Pokemo | 14 years ago # |
I think google.com should use goo.gl/e instead of http://goo.gl/fbsS |
Geekgen | 14 years ago # |
Here, y0u can create a short link of Goo.gl online:
http://geekgen.it/google-url-shortener
is gratis, and have API, for your site ;) |

Geekgen The geekgen server might be useful if it worked correctly. It has trouble with ampersands, which occur in many long urls.
A request for "google.com/search?num=1&q=blogoscoped" http://geekgen.it/api.php?mode=api&w=googl&url=http://google.com/search?num=1&q=blogoscoped
produces a short url that redirects to "google.com/search?num=1" http://goo.gl/rtPa |
