Did you managed to find easter eggs this year ? |
WebSonic.nl | 14 years ago # |
Not yet, expect that Google will place the first one online tonight for Australia and maybe China. But due to the recent conflict maybe they skip China this year.
The real big Google joke will come tomorrow. |
James Xuan | 14 years ago # |
I was just coming here to post that we haven't had a speculative thread this year about what they might be like usual! One step ahead of me Luka :D
I hope this year can be as good as CASSIE last year but a little more easy to fool regular users, last year CASSIE was good but it wouldn't have fooled ordinary people because they wouldn't have understood what it was about I'm guessing, and those who would have gotten the jokes would have waiting to see what Google's April fools joke would be... |
Roger Browne | 14 years ago # |
It's already April 1st in Australia. Go to google.com.au and click on "Language Tools". Set the "From" language to Greek and the "Into" language to English.
Copy and paste the following word into the text box and click "Translate" to see the easter egg.
The word is: εύπιστος |

Roger, I was about to post a thing like that here, I love you :-D |

<<and maybe China. But due to the recent conflict maybe they skip China this year.>>
I hope their joke for China is bowing down to government censorship and making a really big political joke that will piss them off hardcore. |

I have decided to make an even larger fortune than I already have, by skipping council rates. I'm going to move into the Google Docs storage unit. I spend all my time using Google services like Gmail, Blogger, Earth, Youtube, Search and Talk anyway, so why not live there? At $0.10 per kg, it'll only cost $4.85 to store myself. That's a lot cheaper than the cost of owning a house. |

Upload and store anything in the cloud with Google Docs Wednesday, March 31, 2010 9:00 PM In January, we added the ability to upload and store any file in Google Docs, and in response to your feedback, we increased the maximum file size to 1 GB a couple weeks later. Based on the overwhelming response to this feature, we're happy to announce a big update. Starting today, you can upload and store anything in Google Docs. With this change, you'll be able to store items in the cloud and access them from any computer – all you need is an Internet connection and a Google Account.
As with documents, spreadsheets, and files, you also share objects you've uploaded to Google Docs with anyone in the world. For example, do you ever wish you could CTRL+F your house keys or your TV remote? Store your keys, remotes, rail passes, and other objects you commonly lose with Google Docs, and you'll never have to worry about finding them again. Having trouble moving your piano from New York to California? Upload it from your home in New York, then download it once you're in California. Change your mind and want to share it with your friend in England instead? No problem. With one click you can have your piano delivered to anyone you choose, anywhere in the world.
With simple pricing at $0.10 per kg, along with free pickup and delivery from any location on the planet, it’s hard to pass up. To learn more about this new feature and how to join the beta test, head to our informational site. As always let us know what you think on the forums.

Early last month the mayor of Topeka, Kansas stunned the world by announcing that his city was changing its name to Google. We’ve been wondering ever since how best to honor that moving gesture. Today we are pleased to announce that as of 1AM (Central Daylight Time) April 1st, Google has officially changed our name to Topeka.

I think that if you have a blog, then it is what you need. Tell people about something, someone is advertising, to somebody else for something else. Personally, I think so. Here I have a blog about my travels, but I can not share them with people, because somebody would write that this is spam. A hoster will also kick :) |

Chrome sounds seems to mostly work on every site I've been to.
- Typing on this form makes typewriter sounds - Going from left to right by clicking on tabs plays like piano keys - Closing tab makes breaking glass sound - Opening extension settings plays technology (beeping) sounds - Scrolling makes a laser-esc sound (don't know how else to describe it) – the longer the scroll the more intense the sound
If I find more sounds I'll post them. Interested to see other sounds everyone else finds too! |

I laughed so hard when I seen TOPEKA instead of the usual name google. I had recently read that Topeka officials had "unofficially" changed the name of the city to Goodle for the month of March, which certainly helped a person to understand what this name change was about. This is too funny. Got to LOVE it. WTG google, I mean TOPEKA! |

Good night, Happy Fool's Day!!!
A police officer pulls over this guy who had been weaving in and out of the lanes. He goes up to the guy's window and says, "Sir, I need you to blow into this breathalyzer tube." The man says, "Sorry officer, I can't do that. I am an asthmatic. If I do that I'll have a really bad asthma attack." "Okay, fine. I need you to come down to the station to give a blood sample." "I can't do that either. I am a hemophiliac. If I do that, I'll bleed to death." "Well, then we need an urine sample." "I'm sorry, officer, I can't do that either. I am also a diabetic. If I do that I'll get really low blood sugar." "All right then I need you to come out here and walk this white line." "I can't do that, officer." "Why not?" "Because I'm too drunk to do that!"
