Has anyone been following Florian Rohrweck's researches on his blog? He's been examining the source code on Google Profiles, Gmail, Buzz etc, and seems to have found some interesting things.

I'm sure you're right! Though the references to photo editing, video editing, face recognition, social photo tagging, multiple levels of privacy controls and algorithmically recommended posts from people you don't follow, all as part of an activity stream – if true! – aren't part of any existing product.
