Okay, this is now the worst use for AJAX I have seen. Who needed the Netscape blink in Web 1.0? And who should use it with AJAX now?

Corsin, I strongly assume the site in question was a parody on the Web 2.0 meme (and the annoying blink tag)... |
I agree with Philipp in 'strongly assuming' (which for some reason doesn't sound quite right) that its a parody and actually a pretty good one in my opinion. If you did want a cross-browser blink tag you'd obviously do it client-side with setTimeout |
There's also the official text-decoration: blink; :) http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/text.html#lining-striking-props
Doesn't seem to work in IE though, not even in combination with <blink> http://blogoscoped.com/temp/blink.html |
Personally, I'd like to see a Web 2.1 AJAX MARQUEE element.
I've always preferred MARQUEE tags to BLINK tags. They rule. |
