Sony announced its new mylo (”my life online”) personal communicator, a wifi device that works in any 802.11b wireless network. It allows instant messaging, internet browsing and emailing, as well as listening to music (MP3, ATRAC or WMA) and viewing photos and MPEG-4 videos. This thing is Skype enabled, and Skype is making a separate release on that functionality.

One question: why do they need Skype and Yahoo Msgr if they've got Google Talk on there?
Answer: no one uses GTalk. |
Sony has for a long time satiated all my geeky needs, until I made the plung to become an Apple fanatic.
Sony has lost the quality standard they have come to prove for years.
If Apple had made this "Mylo", it would have made everyone say woohaaaaa!

yes, now I ahve to figure out which is better the BB8100 or the mylo!! |
pd: BB8100? What's that? (Google returns either French websites or train images...)
There is a smartphone called Qtek 8310, which is WI-FI enabled. (I assume, that you can download 3rd party tools to make Jabber/GTalk working) |
