Does anyone have any idea what's going on with Blogger Status site?
http://status.blogger.com/
It's been returning a 403 Forbidden error for quite some time now and yet it's still linked to from all over Blogger. The irony is that Google's cache says this:
<< Thursday, December 28, 2006
Some users are seeing forbidden (403) messages instead of their blogspot blogs. We are aware of this problem and are working on it.
Update, 4:40 am: This issue has been resolved. >>

Can anyone else get to it?
Edit – It looks like this site on Blogspot could be a mirror:
http://blogger-status.blogspot.com/
Does anyone know if that is official? |
FYI – the Atom feed for that mirror contains this URL:
http://blog.grogmaster.com/
That belongs to Pete Hopkins, the same one that posts to http://buzz.blogger.com so I guess it could be an ("unofficial") official mirror... especially since the cache of the Blogger Status Atom feed also references that blog and the http://blogger-status.blogspot.com URLs:
http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:status.blogger.com/atom.xml
Seems like a bit of a mess to me. |
FYI: I'm seeing the status.blogger.com site fine, in the UK. |
Weird. I can get to it through some US proxies but can't get to it from my browser in the UK. When I ping it, it's resolving to this domain and IP address (which I think is the one used for GAFYD):
ghs.l.google.com [72.14.207.121] |
Forbidden, but works with proxies. |
