RSSFwd (http://rails.yanime.org/rssfwd/) does the same thing, but it polls the feeds every 2 hours. i dont know if rmail does this, but rssfwd changes the "from" to read as the title of the feed.

And then there is rss2email (http://www.aaronsw.com/2002/rss2email/) available in Debian via "apt-get install rss2email"

I just set an Rmail account, since I am going out of state to a funeral tomorrow. I doubt that I will have a chance to use a PC while I am in my tiny Tennessee hometonw, unless I can find a relative with one I can borrow for a while. So I decided to try this, since I can get my Yahoo mail on my cell phone. I am having my bloglines list sent to my Yahoo mail by Rmail. Hope it works out.

I wonder if an RSS e-mail provider could insert adsense ads into the e-mail. They could take the text feeds (or even crawl to the website and grab the text off of the page). In a sense, they would be hijacking the advertising model of the content providers.

JoeR, I've considered various advertising models for Rmail, but nothing currently available would actually work. For example, adsense, however implemented, would generate zero value ads or be a violation of the Adense ToS. As such, in the short-term, Rmail will remain a free ad-free service.

Amazon Affiliate ads are always an option... even though in my experience they pay much too bad.
