Beautiful. Amazing. I can't wait.
Really. |
I'll be keeping an eye on this one I can't wait to see some decent reactions... |
Great Post! I can only imagine how you could zoom in from space onto someone's home and make it appear like it zoomed right into the floorplan of the house. It would be like Streetview but called Homeview. :) |
Hilarious. Though I'm more afraid that someone nefarious will eventually own Google in decades to come than I am that Google is evil now... until then I'll just make it completely non-profitable to scan my house! |
Sh*t – just at the edge of plausibility. |
D*mned if Paul Ford didn't beat me to the punch by a long ways! (thanks James) :) --S |

That van won't reach Argentina for some time... I'll be glad -anyway- to receive them in my neighborhood... |

excellent writeup ,spot on :) |
I love it! I want Google to sell my information too! That way everyone will offer me the best deals and I can contribute to upcoming Google Apps that I haven't even begun to love yet!
:-D |
I wonder at the real benefits of this --- it's certainly doable and not out of our present-day realm – but would this extend toward seeing the houses, floor plans, etc., of the projects and slum housing in our country's inner cities? I'd be VERY curious at the potential discriminatory effects such a project like this would have. :) |
It'd be nice to think the service would be class-blind and facilitate greater awareness of poverty, but I have my doubts. We sure don't see the Bayview/Hunter's Point district in SF on Streetview. |
*It's not half bad, really. You could have sold that to a commercial science-fiction outlet. |
Wow, thanks for the kind words, Bruce! I'm a long-time fan of your work, so this means a lot. --S |
