World Cup Browser Extension

You can track the coming FIFA soccer world cup on Firefox using the FootieFox extension. What’s supposed to happen is that you’ll see the score of games being played in the status bar, real-time. The page is in German but you can see the extension link and also some screenshots. [Thanks Frank Fuchs.]

Google’s Sherlock Holmes Logo

Google today honors the birtdhay of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the Sherlock Holmes novels, with a special logo. The top result of the logo search (a biography) still holds up, so far... above the top organic result there are semi-organic onebox results though (one is Google Book Search, the other is Google Q&A).
