April 1st Predictions?DPic | Thursday, February 26, 2009 15 years ago • 4,978 views |
I know it's a bit early for this but whatever. April first is April Fool's Day and also GMail's birthday so:
1. What do you predict of serious nature from Google, if anything? 2. An April Fool's joke would be hard to predict (have any of them been predicted before?), so what do you think would be a funny to see?
I'm just going to answer the first one with GrandCentral 2. I hope so hard for this to come out by then that i'm going to make it a prediction. It better happen or i will be a sad panda (unless of course they do something more awesomer).
Maybe they'll knowck something off of our Google 2009 Wishlists? http://pinstack.blogspot.com/2009/01/2009-wishlist-for-google.html http://blogoscoped.com/forum/147637.html |

"Gmail out of beta" would be a good April Fools Joke. |

A few thoughts:
1) Google Atlantis with Street View capability 2) Google Chrome officially released for Mac & Linux 3) Google Music (Think YouTube + iTunes partnership) 4) Google Wifi Network |

I'm thinking Hello for GrandCentral will probably happen too... Google Hello? |

Hello for Grandcentral? Great and it really fitted to a telephony service.
* Search for the results like it is 2011 (besides Google allowed us to search back in time like it was 2001). The results will be like what Wikipedia had depicted such as: On January 1, 2011: Estonia adopted Euro; or on March 18: NASA's spacecraft was able to arrived in orbit around Mercury. more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011
* Most of the news in News Search are April pranks: such as spaghetti trees of BBC, Tower of Pisa had fallen
* Google's search calculator will change the value of pi into 3.141999 (accdg to Biblical value)
* Chrome to IE: as about:ie :: about:crash
* Orkut will out of beta. Really?
